Pastors Mark and Rebekah Cantu | Lead-Founding Pastors
Mark and Rebekah Cantu are the Lead Pastors of Fortified City Church. Mark is known for his fresh, relatable, humorous messages that demystify the Bible and highlight the story and life of Jesus.
Along with his Mother, Pastor Carol Cantu, Pastor Mark felt the call of God to start a church that would reach the city of McAllen and the world in a refreshing, real, and uplifting way. In 2014 Fortified City Church (then known as Triumph.Church) was born. Over the years hundreds of people have come to know the Gospel of Jesus Christ through their weekly livestream and in person gatherings.
Rebekah is a gifted leader and speaker and praise and worship leader, noted for her down-to-earth wisdom, authenticity, humor, and strong faith. Mark and Rebekah deeply love Jesus, each other, their community, and their son Ezra.
Pastor Carol Cantu | Founding Pastor
Carol Cantu is the Founding Pastor of Fortified City Church in Mcallen, Texas, which she, along with her husband, Eutimio (Tim) Cantu, and son Pastor Mark Cantu, established in 2014.
Through the years Pastor Carol has been a worship pastor, childrens minister, youth pastor, and continues to minister weekly at Fortified City Church.
Pastor Carol's style of preaching is described as refreshingly transparent, uplifting, and practical. Carol’s desire is that people feel empowered and challenged to step out and fulfill God’s purpose for their lives every single day.
Our Board Of Directors
Fortified City Church is a tax exempt, nonprofit corporation that is governed by a board of directors. This board, led by our Lead Pastors receives regular communications about the direction and finances of the church, and meets quarterly. The purpose of the board is to provide oversight and strategic leadership to accomplish the mission God has called us to.
