What We Believe

  • We believe the Bible is God’s written revelation to man. It is the ultimate source of truth for Christian belief and behavior. It is inspired of God and therefore is absolute truth without error.

  • We believe in the God of the Bible who eternally exists in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; and that these three are one God. He created all things by his will and upholds all things by His powerful word.

  • We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the manifestation of God in the flesh. We believe He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. We believe Him to be both true God and true man.

  • We believe in the deity of the Holy Spirit. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He provides Christians with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right.

  • We believe that man is corrupt and can never make up for sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by believing in Jesus Christ alone and his finished work on Calvary can anyone be saved from sin's penalty. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith.

  • We believe that we receive salvation, the forgiveness of our sins and reconciliation to God, by grace through faith in Jesus.

  • We believe in water baptism for every believer. We believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is available to all believers. The Holy Spirit enables us to use spiritual gifts as enumerated in 1st Corinthians 12-14 and as manifested in the Early Church.

  • We believe that God has a plan and purpose for each of our lives and that he enables us by his grace to grow in love, maturity, and relationship with him.

  • We believe that each person will exist eternally. Whether we spend eternity with God or separated from him is determined by our response to the grace and salvation of Jesus.

  • We believe that Jesus will come back again for the Church.
